PROGRAMS

One Title Competition
This section, taken from 54 international films and 18 domestic films, consists of all the nominated films eligible for awards. Within the One Title Competition are 7 international programs (I-A to I-G), one children’s program, and 2 Japanese programs, consisting of films from both within Japan and within Hokkaido. In total, films from 10 programs will compete for the One Title Section Grand Prix.
Filmmakers' competition
Whereas the One Title section of the festival is centered around each filmmaker submitting one film, the Film Makers Section is focused on professional filmmakers and their specific style as seen through a number of their works. The Film Makers Section allows for more than 3 films with a combined running time of up to 45 minutes for each filmmaker. Thus, by seeing a collection of each filmmaker’s works we can get a strong sense of their vision.
