Teaching the Nightingale
Based on Dianne Highbridge’s In The Empire of Dreams, “Teaching the Nightingale” is a bittersweet story about Teruko, a Japanese woman who has returned from America and is introduced to a man who quickly proposes to her. At a crossroads, Teruko turns to her gay friend Larry for advice before making a critical decision.
