We are accepting submissions from Shortfilmdepot and FilmFreeway as well. Please see below, "SUBMIT FROM SHORTFILMDEPOT and FILMFREEWAY".

Submission deadline is approaching, but everybody who wants to submit a film outside Japan is facing slow server responses. Free submission period from shortfilmdepot.com and FilmFreeway.com are over. Please submit from FilmFreeway.com
It is our paid option for the submissions. Spotrights is mainly designed for Local Japanese users. It is very difficult to upload a video file from abroad. We strongly advise to submit from FilmFreeway.com

Requirements:
1) Films completed after: March 1, 2016.
2) Maximum duration: "One Title Section"-30 min, "Filmmakers' Section"-45 min with more than 3 films.
3) Country of production: All countries
4) Screening format: AppleProRes422 HQ/LT, 24fps
5) Accepted genres: All genres, including music video
6) Music rights: cleared
7) Dialogues: If the dialogue language is not English, preview copy and screening film must be subtitled in English

SSF2017 Regulations

INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION: ONE TITLE SECTION
International competition with Grand Prix and category awards, including "Best Asian Short Award", "Best Children Short Award" and "Sapporo Peace Award".

- BEST ASIAN SHORT AWARD
Nominated film will be chosen from submissions of "One Title Section".

Eligible Asian countries are
Bangladesh, Bhutan, Brunei, Cambodia, China (Rep. of China, Hong Kong, Macau), East Timor, India, Indonesia, Japan, Laos, Malaysia, Maldives, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, North Korea, Pakistan, Philippine, Singapore, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam.

- SPECIAL AWARDS
Audience Awards, Public Jury Award, Sapporo Peace Award.

Submit a short film less than 30 min.
For the Filmmakers' Section make your own programme with more than 3 films less than 45min in total.
Accept all the production year.

1月10日より、映画祭が使用する応募受付サイト：スポットライツ（Spotrights.jp）で第12回札幌国際短編映画祭（No Maps / Film）の国際コンペ作品を受付開始いたします。30分以下の新作短編作品をオンラインで締切までに応募してください。また、スポットライツは日本語でも応募出来ますが、作品の英語タイトルなど最低限の情報を英語でご用意下さい。
今年もたくさんの応募をお待ちしております。

１）作品部門（One Title Section）
30分以下の作品で2016年3月1日以降に完成した作品。

２）フィルムメーカー部門 （Filmmakers' Section）
複数の作品をまとめて、監督作品群として応募。30分以下の作品を3作品以上で
トータル45分以下のプログラムとして応募してください。制作年は問いません。

＊2016年3月1日以降の作品であれば『作品部門』『フィルムメーカー部門』の両方に応募出来ます。両部門ともにプレミア上映の必要はありません。Webサイトを含む他の映画祭や上映会で上映済みの作品も応募可能です。
