Born in Urakawa, Hokkaido. His film debut "The Makeup Artist" (2001) was selected for the 14th Tokyo International Film Festival and invited to the Shanghai International Film Festival. "Spirits Homecoming" (2003), based on a work by Masashi Sada, won the Japanese Film Revitalization Encouragement Award. He released "Castle Under Fiery Skies" (2009). "Ask This of Rikyu" (2013), starring Ichikawa Ebizo, won the Best Artistic Contribution Award at the 37th Montreal World Film Festival and received Excellence Awards in 9 categories including Best Picture and Best Actor at the 37th Japan Academy Film Prize. In 2020, he released the youth-period film "Tengaramon" starring Miura Haruma. It won both the Reader's Choice Best Japanese Film and Best Japanese Director awards at the 94th Kinema Junpo Awards. In 2015, he released "125 Years Memory", a Japan-Turkey co-production. It received Excellence Awards in 10 categories including Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Screenplay at the 39th Japan Academy Film Prize. In 2023, he released "Whose Money Is It? - Legal Heir -". Currently, he is preparing for next year's production start of "Northern Ice Floe" (working title) in Hokkaido.

Born in Iran in 1985, Sahel Rosa arrived in Japan with her adoptive mother when she was 8 years old.
She studied Japanese with the principal of the elementary school where she was enrolled at the time and became involved in entertainment activity in high school, debuting on the radio as a reporter for J-WAVE. Currently a regular on TV and other programs, Sahel has also appeared in several movies, including Seihokusei/West North West, and Cold Feet. She is working on an extensive variety of activities as an actress in movies, dramas, and on the stage.Recently, she has directed her first feature film “Hanataba”, executive producer Shinji IWAI. It started a roadshow in June 2024.

Lim Kah Wai, born in Kuala Lumpur in 1973, studied electrical engineering in Osaka and film directing in Beijing. In 2010 he directed his first film After All These Years. His subsequent films such as Magic and Loss, New World, Fly Me to Minami and Love in Late Autumn have been screened and won awards at many international film festivals. He is considered a “pan-Asian” filmmaker who shoots his films in different countries with different language casts. No Where, Now Here (2018) and Somewhen Somewhere (2019) were filmed in East Europe. His latest film ” Your Lovely Smile” won The Nippon Visions Jury Award in Nippon Connection (2023).His latest films "This Magic Moment"(2023) and "Everything, Everywhere"(2023) were invited to several international film festivals this year.
