It's 5pm. Narita has finished work for the day and is leaving the office. If he turned right, he would reach home where his family is waiting for him, but he drives in the opposite direction. Narita, who lives with his wife, 8-year-old daughter and 5-year-old son, says he is more tired at home with his noisy family than at work, and he begins to speak his true feelings as he drives along the road at night.

A man and a woman are sitting opposite each other at a table in a restaurant, both wearing black mourning clothes. They don't look at each other and the silence lingers, making the atmosphere a little awkward. When the woman asks the man what he does for a living, he replies that he is an English teacher at a junior high school. The woman praises him, saying “English. That's amazing”, but the man replies bluntly, “It's nothing special”. The awkward conversation continues, and eventually the fact that the two are half-siblings, born of the same father, comes to light.

The sound of crash cymbals echoes through the air and a jazzy tune plays as a smiling woman rides a swing. The opening scene is peaceful, but there is also a sense of unease. As the main story begins, we see two thugs with stern expressions. The man with the shaved head is bleeding and the atmosphere is tense. The two men stare at a strange, smiling man wearing a cap and clutching a golf club.

A zombie samurai is asked by God to deliver a box to a certain place in five minutes. As he struggles to stay awake, a bird on a broom appears. The bird takes an interest in the box and chases him around, trying to take it away from him. Eventually, the zombie samurai succumbs to drowsiness and the bird steals the box and runs away. However, the box does not open and it returns to the man on its own.

Sora is a 19-year-old university student living in Tokyo. While she is enjoying the house moving process with the help of her friends, she receives a series of phone calls from her younger sister, Karin. When she finally checks the messages, she discovers that her grandfather has passed away. Sora goes to her grandparents' house with her mother and sister.

Rintaro (6th grade elementary school boy) likes to look at his town through a telescope. One day, he sees a man with a deer's head running at full speed. Fascinated by the deer-man, Rintaro chases after him. A somewhat unusual story that documents Rintaro's mysterious experience.
