Yi-chi LIEN

Director, Screenwriter, Producer | Taiwan

In 2006, his short film "The Quiet Happiness" was selected for the Wide Angle section at the Busan International Film Festival and recommended for screening by the jury at the ifva Hong Kong Independent Short Film Awards. In 2009, his short film "Do You Hear the Flowers Bloom" was selected for the Golden Horse Film Festival's short film program.
His debut feature "Make Up" (2011) was nominated in the "Winds of Asia" section at the Tokyo International Film Festival, and selected as the opening film of the Golden Horse Fantastic Film Festival. It also earned a Best Actress nomination at the Taipei Film Festival. In 2014, "Sweet Alibis" established his signature dark comedy style. His other feature films-including "All because of love", "Peace Breaker", and "Let's cheat together"-span a wide range of genres, showcasing his bold and versatile storytelling approach.
In 2021, he directed the hit Netflix original series "Light the Night", a suspense drama set in a 1980s Japanese-style hostess bar in Taiwan. In 2023, he co-directed the Netflix anthology series "At the Moment", a contemporary urban romance set during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Satoko Yokohama

After graduating from university, she worked for a private company before enrolling in the Film School of Tokyo. Her graduation film, "Chiemi and Kokkunpatcho," was critically acclaimed, and her first medium-length feature, "German + Rain," won the Directors Guild of Japan Newcomers Award in 2007. In 2009, she directed her first commercial feature film, "Ultra Miracle Love Story," starring Kenichi Matsuyama. She has also directed television dramas such as "Byplayers" and "Kasumi Arimura's Filming Break." In 2021, her film "Itomichi," set in her native Aomori, was released. The film won both the Grand Prix and the Audience Award at the 16th Osaka Asian Film Festival, among many other accolades. In 2023, she directed several episodes of "A Town Without Seasons" (written by Kankuro Kudo), currently streaming on Disney+. Her latest film, "The Road to the Sea," is based on the manga of the same name by Gin Miyoshi. The film received a Special Mention in the Generation category at the 2025 Berlin International Film Festival.

Morgane Ferrero

Programmer, Curator | Canada

Morgane is entering her fourth year as a curator for the REGARD Festival, the International Short Film Festival in Saguenay, and the largest festival in Eastern Canada exclusively dedicated to short films. As a member of the festival's pre-selection committee for eight years, she plays a crucial role in shaping the festival's program and identifying the standout films that define the event. In parallel, Morgane coordinated special projects for La Noce music festival for several years and managed production for the Emerging Music Festival (EMF), pursuing her passions for the visual arts and music. She is also currently the Program Coordinator for the Quebec City Film Festival, where she will host several sessions with a keen eye for exploring film topics with filmmakers. With a background in social anthropology and formal training in documentary film editing and direction, Morgane perfectly combines her artistic eye with her interest in the social sciences to identify singular, bold, and innovative works.
