Short Shorts Film Festival & ASIA

Short Shorts Film Festival & Asia (SSFF & ASIA), officially accredited by the Academy Awards® and one of the largest international short film festivals in Asia, was first launched in Harajuku in 1999 and held its 27th edition in June 2025. The festival’s Grand Prix winner is awarded the “George Lucas Award,” named after the renowned American filmmaker George Lucas. In addition, the festival hosts the online market “Life Log Box,” which facilitates the year-round distribution and sales of short films.
