第20回 札幌国際短編映画祭の開催に際して、秋元克広 札幌市長よりコメントが届いております。
札幌国際短編映画祭は、ショートフィルムの可能性を拡大し、新しいムーブメントを世界に向けて発信することを目的に、2006年に札幌で初の国際短編映画祭として誕生し、今年で20回目の記念すべき年を迎えました。
これまでの歳月を経て、世界から注目される祭典へと成長し、新しい映像作家の発掘・育成及び映像産業振興への貢献のみならず、札幌市の魅力や活力を高める重要な役割を担っていることに、深く感謝いたします 。
今後も、札幌市民や関係する皆さまとともに、本映画祭が、多くのクリエイターにとって世界へ羽ばたくきっかけとなり、新たなビジネスや独創的な文化を創造する場として、より一層発展していくことを大いに期待しています。
The Sapporo International Short Film Festival was launched in 2006 as the city’s first international short film festival, with the mission of expanding the possibilities of short films and sharing new movements with the world. This year, we are proud to mark our 20th anniversary.
Over the years, the festival has grown into a global event that draws attention from around the world. Beyond discovering and nurturing new filmmakers and contributing to the development of the film industry, it has played an essential role in enhancing the appeal and vitality of the City of Sapporo, for which we are deeply grateful.
Looking ahead, together with the citizens of Sapporo and all of our partners, we hope this festival will continue to serve as a platform that empowers creators to reach global audiences, while fostering new business opportunities and inspiring unique cultural innovation.
