- １９９５年、Nottingham Trent大学芸術学部卒業（優等学士号取得）。 監督・脚本を手掛けたショートフィルムとミュージッククリップ（１６本）は、世界中の映画祭で４００回以上スクリーニングされ、数々の賞を受賞。サイモン・エリスの映画は、国内外、地上波・非地上波を問わず、TV、シアター、エアライン（機内映画）など幅広い分野で上映されている。SSF2007で初来日。その際の彼の感想は、「何もかもが楽しかった。映画祭、そして札幌という街自体、とにかくすばらしかった。これまで頑張ってきた甲斐があると思えた瞬間。」 Graduated from Nottingham Trent University (Fine Art BA Hons) in 1995, specialising in stills photography. Written and directed sixteen short films and music videos since then, resulting in 400+ screenings on the international festival circuit, several awards, various invitations to festival juries, and a number of retrospective programmes. International sales include both terrestrial and non-terrestrial broadcasts, from airline acquisitions to MTV rotations. Currently in post-production on first feature film.
