Registration for the Market (Professional Pass)

4: When you arrive at the Market, please proceed to the registration counter to pay for your Professional Pass.  Currently we can only accept cash.

The Professional Pass gives you admission to Event Space EDiT (library with viewing booth), and to all screenings at both theaters (TOHO Plaza and Theater KINO). The pass holder is welcome to attend to the reception party on September 5th and the Award Ceremony on September 9th.

About the Market

 

Market Layout

The Market consists of the video library, preview booths, a drink bar, and a meeting space for filmmakers to make presentations with a projector and screen. 

 

Video Library
We will have a video library at the market where prospective buyers can borrow all submitted films. There will be viewing booths at the market to watch these tapes and DVDs.

Market Catalogue and Filmmakers' Database
We will provide market attendees with a complete Market Catalogue which contains information on all registered films. We will also provide the 'Filmmakers' Database' online.  This will be your fastest search tool at the market.

Festival Office as an Agency
The Sapporo Short Fest office is prepared to provide an agency service to help connect foreign buyers and Japanese filmmakers. Please contact us if you need more information about what we can offer.

Business Space
There will be a meeting area in the center of the market to give you a chance to meet attending filmmakers (as they will also have access to the market) in person and discuss business opportunities with them. The Sapporo Short Fest office will work as an intermediary between the buyers and the filmmakers by providing the necessary communication support.
Reservations for the Projector and Screen can be made.

Parties
There will be a number of parties at night during the festival to encourage social networking and lively discussion.
